No More Excuses

Six years of marriage, fifty extra pounds, and a body that no longer had the energy to keep up with his kids at the park. Franklin knew something had to change. When the Dreamweaver program came along, he stopped waiting and built the gym he had been putting off for years.

Franklin Catalino knows exactly when he stopped taking care of himself. It was not a dramatic moment. It was a slow drift, the kind that happens when life fills up with responsibility and everything else quietly takes a back seat.

He got married. He worked hard. He took care of his family. And somewhere in the middle of all of it, he forgot about himself.

Six or seven years into marriage, Franklin had gone from 200 pounds to nearly 270. He had faced different medical situations along the way. But what hit him hardest was not the number on the scale. It was the afternoon he realized he did not have the energy to take his three and five year old kids to the park. To run around with them. To do the things that kids that age want to do with their dad.

That was the moment something shifted. Franklin had always been athletic. Martial arts, sports, movement. That part of him had not disappeared. It had just been buried under years of excuses. So one day, he told his wife: it is time to stop making them.

He started buying some equipment for a home gym. And right around that same time, the Dreamweaver program opened at One Park Financial. He figured he had nothing to lose.
He submitted his dream. And he got it.

"Now I have no excuses. Every time I work out at home without having to go out, I still feel special, still feel valuable."

The gym is not just equipment in a room. For Franklin, it is a commitment made visible. Every morning he wakes up early and shows up for himself, it is a reminder that he matters too, not just as a provider, but as a person.

Being a Grovie, for Franklin, means living without excuses. It means delivering results no matter what and being part of a family that extends far beyond the walls of the workplace. It is a set of values he carries into everything, including the way he is now showing up for his health and for his kids.

To John, Ben, and the entire One Park Financial family: thank you for trusting him. And to every Grovie out there, Franklin has a message: submit your dream. Don't be shy. Maybe you are next.
